Blocking Diagram Outback 279RB

Does anyone has blocking diagrams for the 279 RB? I want to add a ladder and bike rack.

There isn't any published schematics for framing, wiring or plumbing.

You could use a stud finder assuming your framework is wood, but the general rule is if the trailer was built for a ladder it would have had one installed at the factory.

Usually if it does not come with a ladder, one should not put one on. But that is not always the case. Our 2012 Outback was blocked and braced for a ladder per the brochure and a follow up call to Keystone, but it was not offered as a option. Go figure. All Keystone could tell us was that we should contact our dealer for the proper location to mount a ladder.

Ladder Blocking

As a follow up... I took your advice and called Keystone....who referred me to my dealer.... go figure....

While at Camping world today the parts tech took time to call keystone and got a reply of yes...there is blocking..... and an email with the diagram.

For future reference, there are two sections of blocking on the right side of the rear panel... 1 at the roof and 1 at the bottom, behind the grill support arm...

There is also a horizontal aluminum channel that goes across the rear at 24" AFF......

Same answer I got 2 1/2 years ago.
Yeah, well some things never change. Glad you got it figured out.

Tried to get a stud layout to cut an additional storage door and Keystone told me that it was a trade secret on where the studs were. VERY protective I say.

Read on one of the forums posted that the roof on light weight trailers are made of thinner ply wood
