Fuzion 342 Heat strip in rear A/C

I recall a thread about it but cant seem to find it....

Anyway, hunting last weekend my brother tried to turn on the heat in the garage of the trailer and it only seemed to recirculate the cold air. It was advertised as having a heat strip but i couldnt get it to function no matter where i set the thermo. Is there a trick im missing?

Take the inside cover off of the a/c unit. You should see a plug hanging there not plugged in. You may need a flashlight to see the other end. It will be up near the top of the a/c unit. There have been several of us that the heat strip was not plugged in.

Did you have to take the complete inside shroud of to see the wire, or just the black 1/4 turn fastener to open it up?

How much heat did the heat strip provide? We ran ours this past weekend, and I couldn't feel any heat from it. But since it is directly above the rear beds, I didn't bother climibing up to check. I don't trust them holding me up!

just the 1/4 turn black screw and you will see the wire hanging in there. It threw me for a loop at first as i coudn't get it connected and then realized they had put in a dummy plug.

Dont know if it worked or not as i wasnt plugged in to shore power and the wife was yelling for me to do something else

I will check it tonight!
