Black and Grey Drain Valve

This maybe a stupid question? I have new 2012 Laredo 266 RL with the Labels missing for the Black and Grey drains. I'm thinking the Black for some reason is the Front Valve (On the Left) and the Grey is the rear or when facing them is on the right. Is this correct?

The grey water drain is a 2 inch pipe and the black is a 4 inch. If you can see right behind the valve this might help.

You can always pour a couple of gallons of water into the toilet, open one valve at a time and see which one the water comes out. (Assuming you don't have anything in either of the holding tanks!!). Whichever one the water comes out --- that'll be the Black tank valve. Quite often the labels are either missing altogether or have been put on incorrectly.

On my Hornet the black valve is on the left and the gray on the right when facing them. If you can see the pipe size that is a much better way to figure it out.

I would agree with Festus2 on this, my Black and Grey water tanks both have 3" valves.

On some units, like our former Montana, the Black Tank had a Black pull handle and the Gray had a Gray pull handle, don't recall what color the Galley handle was since it was under the slide.

one way for front ..other for rear

I have a 395lev with dual tanks...(and valves) my front was labled with grey on left and black on right, but my rear wasn't labled...I just turned on sink after tanks were emptied, and pulled one of the two..(couldn't see any discharge pipes with under belly covers) and it was black on left, grey on right ....no ryme or reason with the builders I guess...But luckily I dumped beforehand..Good luck
