2015 Hideout 299RLDS - 1 GREY TANK OR 2?
Greetings to all! I have a 2015 Keystone Hideout 299rlds fifth wheel that I recently purchased.
The owner's manual as well as the brochures I have found online all say it has one 38 gallon grey water tank. However inside my unit on the control panel for the gas, electric water heater, awning, etcetera, it shows lights for 2 gray water tanks. (See photo)
My question is, do I have one gray water tank or two? I can't find the information anywhere.

Welcome to the forum
It is common practice across the RV industry to use one monitor panel for a variety of different models. If your documentation says one 38 gal gray tank then that's most likely what you have. On your first trip out just make sure to use the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink and shower, then just press the buttons and see...I money is on one tank and the gray 2 will show empty.

I'm seeing conflicting info saying either 1 or 2 tanks from various sources. Based on the size of the trailer I would be surprised if you only had one gray tank (but then again, most anything can happen with an RV). It might be simpler to look outside to see if you have 2 dump handles or 3 (one might be tucked inside the frame) or empty your gray tank, pour a gallon or 2 of water into the kitchen sink and go pull the gray drain handle (if you are in a location where you can). If water comes out, empty it and do the same in the shower/tub. If it also comes out then you probably only have 38 gallons of gray water (that won't last long) or if it doesn't, look for that "other" handle.

While I'm not familiar with your model I have the Hideout 308BHDS. I've got two gray tanks. Like previously stated look for the drain valves and verify all your gray fixtures drain via the handles you have.

Are you sure? I have the same RV and there are 2 black and one gray. Kitchen sink, main bathroom sink and tub/shower empty to gray, main bathroom toilet and outdoor sink empty to black #1, Front bedroom toilet and sink empty to black #2

It took me a while to get it all straight but it's actually a pretty nice setup. The outdoor sink emptying into the main bathroom black can be a hassle when dry camping since it fills the black quickly. I came up with a super quick way to just drain that outdoor sink into a bucket and keep the water from filling the black tank. I just keep the fittings under the sink and swap them when needed.

Hmmmm........our outside sink drains into the gray tank. We don't cook inside so we use that outside sink a lot. I can see where it'd be a hassle if it went to the black tank.

You might want to check again.... I thought mine did too but by design they are supposed to drain to black. It would be one heck of a mistake if your goes to gray.

Hi, we have a 2018 Keystone Hideout 299rlds fifth wheel and we have three takes total. One black tank, a standard gray water tank and what I call a galley tank that appears to be dedicated to only the kitchen sink. Both the black tank and the grey tank merge into one exit pipe towards the rear of the camper. The galley tank take has it's own drain valve further forward closer to the wheels.
On our control panel Black #1 is the black water tank. Gray #1 is the tank from the bathroom sink and shower. Gray #2 is the galley tank. The light marked Black #2 lights but goes to nothing.

It appears you may know more about my trailer than I do. I thought the same thing but checked with DW and confirmed it drains to the gray tank. I'll verify that and post an update.
