How many NASCAR race campers do we have in this forum?
Which races do you attend and camp? I camp at both Richmond races.

Been to Loudon 5 times camped twice, Poconos twice but haven't camped there yet, Thompson speedway CT camped 7 times (4 w/friends RV - 3 w/my camper) and once at Little T speedway (1/4 midget track next to Thompson speedway) my 7 yr old daughter races there. Looking at going to Bristol in August 2013 and Dayton in 2016 when DW and I both turn 40. B-day gift to both of us.

We dry camp at Phoenix in March and November. The November one is for 10 days, the March we drop the trailer off and then come back to it. We are saving money to go to talledega one day.

I like going to Thompson speedway for the last race of the season, it's free to stay the week/weekend, can have a fire at anytime, don't have to shut off genny by a certain time and it's right down the st from my house. It's nice going to the big tracks as well but I rather go to the local ones.

I would love to but not sure which is better Las Vegas, or Phoenix? It is either 1,000 miles, or 1,300 miles, not likely except as part of a bigger Vacation.

We have told that the Vegas races aren't that great to camp at by quite a few. For 60.00 we camp out in the dirt areas in phoenix. Higher amounts are for the reserved areas. I like where we camp. There is a tram to take you to the track and a little store to shop at.

We have been to a few races in the past but Bristol is the only one we camped. We have been to Wilkesboro, NC (before they dropped it), 4 races per year at Charlotte, Darlington, SC the Southern 500, 4 races per year at Bristol, TN. Now we prefer to watch them on the big screen and leave the stress to the younger folks.

Nascar camping
Love to camp at a nascar race. Have met some of my best friends in camping there. You have to camp in the right area (unless you are just there for the party). We go to both races at Talladega, Bristol, now 1 at Atlanta, Kansas (not very good for camping), Texas.
Really do enjoy spending time there meeting the folks, having a great time.
You have to love the price of Diesel though. thanks and happy traveling. Joe

My brother and I once went to Daytona. We got there at about 4:30 am. He could not believe that people would be up that early drinking beer. I quickly pointed out to him that they had not gone to bed yet. The parties can get a bit wild.

Lol 4 am beer is normal at the races for sure !! Dover DE is a great place also for camping as there is a lot for campers to do all week leading to race weekend as the grounds are not gated as bad as most tracks

Last race was Bristol. we have camped: Darlington, Charlotte( fall race and AllStar, once the 600) and at ROCKINGHAM(spring and fall and then) the last race.
kinda got expense over the last few years, so we have backed way off plus now its more MOM and Pop camping..Not the guys kinda thing any more.
