Smile Memory foam queen

Did anyone replace the mattress on the passport 23.9ml queen? What did you replace it with?

On our 2018 passport 2520RL The mattress is like a rock. We put a 2” memory foam topper.
We love it and sleep great

Ditto, we did a 3 inch with cooling from Wal-Mart.., best 100 dollars I ever spent. Plus now the sheets fit better.

You'll find that a great many folks have added a topper or tossed the RV mattress and replaced with a quality brand name mattress. This is one of those many instances where the make and model of the trailer have nothing to do with the issue at hand.

We bought a brand name that was on sale at our local furniture outlet. (The brand escapes me at the moment.) The Cougar had a flimsy short RV queen. There was just enough room at the foot of the bed frame to add an extension so that the standard size queen fit properly. I'm 6'2" so the short queen did not work well for me at all. The short queen went in the trash.

The tag on my mattress is ever pedic it's rv matters and quit expensive from google search. I put the 2 inch memory foam underneath the rv mattress it worked for me.

Jerry, am I to understand you put your memory topper UNDER the mattress? I've never given that idea any thought. We tried the topper in our smaller toyhauler and I sweat a lot during the night because of the foam. We finally bought a top of the line mattress for the Raptor and promptly sold the RV. Yes, we did put the old one back in before we sold it. Now we have a spare at home. The new RV has a reasonably good mattress, but not great like home. I might be willing to try the topper thing if it works at all on the bottom. We just don't seem to have the support we need, like we are missing a box spring (which we are, of course)

we did a 4" foam topper and it might be too much. 2" may have been a better option. Now we sleep "in" the bed instead of "on" the bed! It is very comfy!

We replaced that POC mattress in the RV with a 4" RV short queen memory foam from Overstock.com. We now sleep better in the RV than we do in the hogan. DW says now we need to upgrade the mattress in the hogan. When will it ever end?

We replaced the mattress in our Copper Canyon with a Serta 8' full size queen, then added the 2" down mattress pad we had already tried, and the Heated Mattress pad just to take the chill off.

DW put a memory foam topper on as well. Not sure if it was a 2 or 3 version. Nice and comfy. But I am shifting position through the night. And it feels like I have to climb out of a hole first to roll over.

I had suggested to put the topper under the mattress and I really got the "hairy eyeball"!

Installed this mattress in place of the useless back breaker that was in our unit. At the price and the many positive reviews I gave it a shot. We are full timing till our house is built (6 months) and this mattress is every bit as comfortable as our $1200 leesa we slept on in our boat as full time live aboards.

We bought an 8" foam Spa Sensations from Walmart when we first got our Passport. Knew we couldn't take the one that it came with, figured that would hold us until we got back to Texas from Montana. But!! Love it...haven't changed it yet! I think we paid just over $200 or so for it. Am very surprised at how comfortable it is. We did add a 2" mattress pad to avoid the foam heat....so far, no desire to change it. Spent 3 months in the Passport before getting back to our winter home.

Literally laughed out load Griz as I have had that same reaction! I guess I don't understand the topper science, maybe if we market it as an mattress underer...

If you have a full queen, I added an IKEA Morgedal in medium firm. Four months on this mattress and very comfortable.

I know this is late but we put the same mattress we have in our home, in our trailer. We have a standard queen in our Laredo. We bought the Serta memory foam for our trailer and it is one of the best investments we have made. Sleep like babies.

In our previous TT we purchased a short queen from Amazon. It was definitely better but a bit firm. We were going to get a foam topper but traded for a fiver with a king. We will probably be moving the house bed into the trailer as we will be full timing it shortly.
