Sagging skin around pin box.

Anyone have issues with the screws holding up the skin around the pin box breaking and the skin sagging? 5 out of the 6 screws were snapped. I hope I didn't add damage drilling new holes. Seems too be some kind of foam seal around the pin box too. New screws might be too short and dimpling the skin? The photo is after the repair, not pretty, but on the road tomorrow for Oregon and Washington for a week.

Needs some strips of thick HDPE around the pin box as reinforcement/trim.

I just did the same repair on my 2012 Cougar Xlite 26SAB. Five of the six screws were snapped off. Probably had been that way for a while.

In fact, when I picked it up from the dealer in 2012 they they had to fix the same thing. Not sure if the screws were snapped off or just never fully installed.

We've had the Filon droop a bit, which doesn't hurt anything. we have had a couple of the TEK screws actually come unscrewed and falling out into the bed of the truck while rolling down the road. I just put in larger hex head TEK screws and have no problem. If you wanted, get some stainless steel fender washers to use along with the TEK screws to provide some additional support. So far, I have not had any break, but wouldn't worry about that, considering how much of the hardware today is imported and pretty cheap compared to what was once available when made in this country, kind of like the issues with the imported trailer tires many have had problems with.
