Avalanche 361TG A/C System
We have a 2016 Avalanche 361TG and the kitchen/living room are does not stay cool. I have been running both units at a 65 and it is still warm. We are running the Fantastic Fan, the ceiling fan, and have another fan going to pull cool air from the bunk house. Can anyone tell me if the front bedroom A/C is ducted, or just the rear one. Also if any one has any suggestions on keeping it cool I am open. We are in Charleston and it is only in the mid 80s. Trying to figure something out before we head to Myrtle Beach in late June.

We have the 365mb. The front unit bed room keeps us quite cool. The rear unit cools the liv/kitch into low 70,s . Normally we do not run both at same time. The test will be this summer in Tx. If you have the right contacts with an meter check the temp coming out of the units. The back unit is ducted.

I have a 2016 391TG and I had the same problem with mine I took the cover off in the bedroom and the tape job they did was very bad . The opening into the air ducts was the size of a hand and that was it I re taped the duct work and all the vents. Air flow into the living area was greatly increased and was much cooler. Maybe this will help overall I hope you are enjoying your camper.

I'm reading a horror story on rv.net about a Montana owners problems. One of his issues was the vents. The tape job was terrible. The vents were replaced with others that had a lower transition...where the ducting is connected and taped. The poster reported that the dealer told him some owners were removing the vent registers and cutting the transition shorter with razors or Dremmel tools. It was never stated, or I missed it, but apparently the tall transition somehow causes the ducting to pinch closed while making the 90 degree turn down into the vent register.

I checked and both A/C units had one side of the ducting that the tape job was not good on. I re-taped them, but it did not help. We dropped the camper off on our way home at the dealer. They commented that its a big camper, which it is. But they should make sure that the cooling system can cool the unit. I am really interested to see what they tell me.

If I remember correctly last summer it was always so freezing in the second bathroom of ours. There is a vent in there and seemed like it took away from the cooling of the living area. We had the same problem with our camper prior to this and I cut out a disk to block the vent. It allowed what was needed through but didn't take away from the living area as much. They make sliding vents but this one needed to be blocked all together with it being such a small space.

That is something we have discussed as well. You can use that second bathroom as a meat locker. But they called from the shop and said that the ducting needed to be worked on. Just waiting to hear back from Keystone to see if they approve the repairs.

I've been down this road also. The typing in the block between the return air chamber and delivery side was a mess. Also made a block and taped in duct at the last vent, stop cold air going into dead space. Also if you run both a/c unit at the same time must be run on low speed.

Finally got the camper back and took it out last week. They out in two extra vents in the kitchen/living area and opened up the duct work. The camper stay much, much cooler so overall we are very pleased with the work, just not the time it took.

Do u have a link to that post?
I believe our alpine could use two more vents in out living room kitchen area.
The ac will keep the temps in the 72-73 range on a 89-90 degree day but i think i have to much vent pressure and believe two more vents will help.
We only have 7 total between both ac units.
