Question Sliding door issue

When to the storage yard to winterize our fifthwheel today, yeah, bummer but we're going to be gone for a few weeks on a non-RV trip, and afraid we might have some freezing weather while away.

The bad news is that while going through our 291RLS, saw the sliding door between the main area and bedroom was broken. The track holding up the door had come loose inside of the wall, and the door had bent the track. I took the track down the rest of the way, and straightened it out, but now the problem of trying to reattach the track inside of the small pocket for the door.

The pocket is fairly narrow, so just reaching up and putting up the track again is going to be difficult. They had also just used three screws to hold up the track, and wondering if there are blocks of wood, or they put the track up right below one of the ceiling trusses? That would make it great, as I could put a few more screws into the track, but if not then you know there is nothing but the thin ceiling paneling.

Anyone have simple solutions???

Re: Sliding door issue

Do you have room to use a "stud finder" on the ceiling? This might tell you if the track was originally screwed into a roof truss or not. (?)
