Ice Maker

I have a 2016 353FWDEN with a Samsung residential refrigerator. I have flushed the water system to get it ready for the season, but am finding that the icemaker is not filling with water. There was antifreeze in it. I found one shutoff valve, and it was in the open position. Any other clues I should consider?

Are you hooked up to city water, or have water in the fresh tank and water pump on?

on my Montana there was one shut off under the sink and one additional shut off behind the drawer under the oven if that helps

Assuming it's a residential fridge sized ice maker they don't take a lot of water. You could still have air in that line.

Most work on a timed cycle. Fill, wait a couple of hours to freeze, dump if needed and repeat. Unless you can trip the cycle early you may have to wait it out for a day or two.

I know when I've needed to disconnect my ice maker at home the first batch or two after reconnecting are only half height.

There are two water shutoffs for the ice maker. One is under the sink where the line goes into the basement and one is in the slide where the line comes back into the living space. Both have to be in the open position for water to flow from the main plumbing fresh water supply to the underside of the trailer (exposed to cold, freezing temps) and then back into the "conditioned air" within the slide.

Here's a picture of what is in the Keystone Owner's Manual which shows the general "idea" of what is in your RV.

Thanks John, very interesting. I could see many different ways one would attack winterizing and then dewinterizing either by blowing it out or using antifreeze. In the OP case possibly not having this diagram who knows how it was actually done??

After long research I don't see any where there is a connection
Wouldn't you think when you purchase a new rv that has this option it would be prepped

I work at a dealership, and a couple of years ago we received about six Montana's that the factory had failed to install a water line to the residential fridges. So it is possible that they missed a water line on your coach as well. It may be worth a call to your dealership.
