Total Hail Loss

Today I worked covering skylights and vents and removing broken a/c covers and vacuuming up water all caused by hail storm last night. Hoping to make it back home!

On Sunday I brought it up here from NC to PA since we moved. Yesterday I took it to my cousin's house to store it for the next month while we finalize our home purchase. Got stuck in his yard, so left it parked just off his driveway. Ha.

Decided to make a bracket to hang my larger leveling blocks under the trailer. They started out in the pass-through, but I always hated putting them in there wet. Then I put them in a small aluminum box on the back with my patio mat, but they took up alot of space there. Made the bracket to bolt to the same hardware that holds the steps onto the frame.

Blocks are visible in front of the step during our stop for supplies last weekend.

Installed a Vortex II fan in the bathroom. Doesn't seem a whole lot louder and moves a lot more air.

Removed tires, hubs, bearings, inspected all, repacked bearings. Front axle bearings were a little dry but all in good shape. Ready for the season.

Wow Jwiles58 I hope you are okay and you can get the damaged fixed quickly. We were expecting that storm and it decided to go south of us. What a wild month of May. Glad to see it gone.

Pulled the wheels and hubs. Cleaned, inspected, and repacked the wheel bearings. Replaced the grease seals. Inspected, cleaned, and adjusted the brakes. Upgraded the suspension with heavy shackles, wet bolts, and bronze bushings. Mounted the new Goodyear Endurance tires with new rims, metal valve stems, new lug nuts, and lug-centric balancing.

Lucky we only have the single axle. Averaged about 3 1/2 hours per wheel over two evenings for a total of seven hours. Nice to finally have some good weather.

That’s a lot of work! Good job, it sounds like you will have some good piece of mind having all of that done.

Thank you, I can't take all the credit. I based it on an idea from WNYBullet.

Sanitized the fresh water system in preparation for our next trip. We're (read - my beautiful bride) just being cautious with the new rig. It was sanitized when I did the Winterization last Fall but it's not difficult to do so why not? Gives her piece of mind, right?

What's the consensus on time between sanitizing the tank? In the summer, I would think you would have to do it every couple of weeks.
