HDTV Sizes??

In the near future we are thinking of upgrading and go full-time. We have not decided yet on doing this in a motorhome or fifth wheel. One thing I want is at least a 40" HDTV. I have been digging, but not finding out much on what sizes are in Keystone's fivers.

Any ideas?

Our 310RE 5er came with a 40" in a pop up mount cabinet. Just the right size for us. We installed a 20" 12 volt TV/DVD in the bedroom which seems just right plus the storage cabinet would not hold one much larger.

Ruben,

I didn't check "every" fifth wheel that Keystone sells, but on the 7 that I checked, the size of the TV is listed either in the FEATURES section or in one of the "add on packages" If you look at Cougar for example, you'll see that no TV is listed in the standard model, but the 32" LCD TV is listed as a part of the options. It was the same for Mountaineer, Montana, Montana High Country, Alpine, etc.

Do some "digging" in the Keystonerv.com website and you'll be amazed at what is listed there.

Now, as for all (or most) of the TV's being listed as "options" If you look, so are spare tires, walk on roof, black tank flush, etc. Most of those are included in "mandatory packages" which you must purchase on any or all of the trailers manufactured. I'd venture to guess that you can't buy a "standard" Cougar model, even if you special ordered it. Some of the options are listed as "mandatory option" (like radial tires).

Spend some time on the website, I'd say all your questions about TV's are answered there, but maybe not on the front page in plain view. It's there though.

It seems like our Alpines one is 40" or 42" maybe. It lives behind the fireplace.

Our Cougar 282res came with a 32" Toshiba. The location of the T.V. probably has a lot to do with the size. Our Toshiba, BTW, has terrible, tinny sounding, internal speakers. Employed a digital converter that allows us to connect the T.V. to the Jensen's speakers. FWIW

Although not a Keystone, I know of a Thor 5th Wheel that has a 55 inch Rear Entertainment system. I think some of the Montana line have 40" or larger.

We have a 2011 Alpine 3500RE and it came with a 42" Samsung HD TV in the LR that hides out of the way behind the fireplace. It also came with a Jensen 19" in the bedroom.

I don't think that I could upgrade to a much bigger model in the LR without modifying the opening. Pretty tight now.
