Landing gear stabilizers

Just installed my new landing gear stabilizers (Strong Arm). WOW! what a difference it makes. There is no more rocking. If you are going to install some, be prepared to do some customizing for the mounting, but that's half the fun.

In the second picture, isnt the bolt for the Strong Arm bar supposed to replace the bolt on the foot of the stabilizer?

Your modification looks good and is a great idea, I'm only asking because I don't think you have to do any modifications if you choose not to.

There are other brands of stabilizer bars (SteadyFast, BAL, and yours, the JT Strong Arm) that all do the same thing, these are the best mod you can ever do to your rig. Just surprises me at how many people look at chocks or other types of stabilizers to stop the rocking when a simple addition of stabilizing bars is the most effective and easiest route to go. I used just one set (2) of the BAL Lock Arms and it made a huge difference.

Ditto on the use of stabilizers. I have the SteadyFast and they are very effective in reducing the "seismic waves" in our morning coffee and other drinks throughout the day.

Mike, did you install the set of Lock Arms on the front or rear stabilizer jacks? I just received 1 set from Amazon and am curious to see if it's more effective on the front or rear. I could buy another set but would rather just install 1.

Shove the front and rear of your trailer laterally/side-to-side and see which end moves the most. My bet is that its the front that moves the most, just like my fifth wheel.

I tried using the supplied StrongArm bolt that replaces the bolt on the pad. What doesn't show in the photo is the other support arm of the jack. When I mounted the StrongArm using the supplied bolt, that support arm would prevent the jack from raising all the way up. I can get a picture of it if you are really curious.

Actually used it for the first time this weekend. LOVE IT.

I installed the BAL lock arm bars on my trailer with the power stabilizers like you have but I installed them from the chassis to the jack pad not the opposite side of the trailer. After I installed just the front two it made an enormous difference so if you were only gonna install two I'd put them on the front. The only time my trailer moves now is when I'm on the step so I have to support that now.

They litterally take about 1 hour to install all 4.
