Lifted Fuzion 405

Hi all,

Well, we canceled the order on the new Carbon 357 and went with a nice used 2010 Fuzion 405. What I didn't notice until I had hooked it up to my truck (2011 F350 dually) is that it has a lift on it, so I'm pretty nose-down. I can raise my hitch a notch and put some bags on the truck to help level me, but was wondering if anyone knows what the factory lift on the Fuzion is.....4”? It sure looks tall......

Mike

In addition to raising the hitch in the truck, you can lower the pin box on the 5th Wheel if you have any holes left in the lowest position. Doing both will raise the nose of the Fuzion a bit higher yet.

Good idea! I didn't think about that as an option.

Im guessing its probably not a factory lift rather a previous owner flipped the axles to accomodate either a lifted truck or wanting more ground clearence when towing off-road. Its very common amongst off-road enthusiests. I've personally done 1 of my own toy haulers and helped countless friends with theirs. Easy to do if you have a half dozen bottle jacks, an impact gun, and a couple beers.

Look underneath and see if your axles areon top of the leaf springs or are the springs mounted to the top of the axle. If its the latter then theyve been flipped.

If the axles have been flipped I would recommend returning it back to stock if you dont need the extra ground clearance. These Fuzions are already very tall from the dealer I just dont see them putting on a lift

You do know that your Fuzion came stock from the factory with SOA. I wonder if they were also coming that way back in 2010?

I am with you in thinking the SOA would lift the trailer pretty good. But my 342 is just a tad low for my liking and would love to raise it 2". The must use some pretty flat springs to have it SOA and still keep it this low.

The spring perches actually have 4 inch blocks with extended u-bolts. I may be in the market for some 2" blocks to put in there with shorter bolts. I have no reason the believe that the original owner didn't order it from the factory this way.

I'm at Fort Belvoir for the week but will get pics of the perches when I get back.
