Montana Stabilizers

Hi all,
We just purchased a Montana 3585SA and I have a question about the electric stabilizers. Our Cougar stabilizers had to be manually extended so when they contacted the ground I would give them another turn or two.
With the Montana stabilizers I don't know how to gage the pressure on the jack to know when to stop after they contact the ground.
Anybody have any tips on correctly extending the jacks ? or should I stop when I the tires come off the ground ? Just kidding

Grant I would think the same principal applies. In other words, don't force the jacks to "lift", with fear of frame damage. Just enough to get the unit stable. Congrats. on the new unit. What made you decide on the 3585, over the front living room model?

Thanks for the tip.....
The main reason(s) that we decided on this model is that we felt the 3750FL was lacking storage space and we did not care for the walk through bathroom. I still think the 3750FL is an awesome coach (my DW makes me call it a "coach").
The 3585SA was on the lot and we really liked the larger living room compared to our cougar.
After we bought the 3585SA my brother-in-law bought the 3750FL so it is still in the family.......
Now the 3750FL is kind of like a grand kid.......I can hang out in it but I don't have to tow it home

I also have the electric stabilizers. If you listen as they are hitting the ground, the sound changes. Once that happens I just tap them a little tighter. That's what my dealer told me to do. Hope this helps.

Grant, if you have the remote, you can be at the back of the coach and see and hear when they hit the ground, then just a little more to stabilize things. If you want to lift the wheels off the ground you need the hydraulic jacks. Love our Montana.
