New Premier Weight Specs

I see that Keystone has updated the weight specs of the 26RBPR lowering the tongue weight 120 pounds from 835 to 715 making it more in line for 1/2 ton towing for those of us that may want to upgrade within the Keystone select family

Just my opinion but I would never tow a trailer with a 1/2 ton. My trailer has stickers on it that says it's made for a 1/2 ton but I would never think about it.
For me it's a safety issue for myself and others on the road

The hitch weight published by the trailer manufacturer is a manufacturing requirement and can be found in FMVSS standards/regulations.

Its purpose is sort of twofold. It’s a ballpark figure for prospective buyers and a mandatory measurement for the trailer manufacturer because the regulation says that the published hitch/pin weight added to the total (certified) GAWR MUST equal or exceed (certified) GVWR. Once the trailer is sold to the first owner all pin/hitch weights are managed by that owner and any subsequent owners.

Original Equipment tires are fitted to the certified GAWR minus the published hitch/pin weight.

I towed with a 150 for 3 years and all was good. If I had a smaller light trail trailer I would not have any issues doing it again. As long as the weights line up, why not.

I have had no problems towing our 22RBPR with the F150.

It all depends on the weights and I am well within them, for our truck?

I would not, how ever, tow a 25+ footer with it.
