Replacing Dump Valves that are Connected by a Wye.

I have a 2011 Sprinter travel trailer.
Replacing black and gray dump valves connected by the wye.
Pryed it out the two valve/wye assembly. The connection on each tank gave a little (in) doing so.
To reinstall, I don't want be that hard on the tank flanges.
Anyone have any tips to spread apart (1/2 inch) the tanks to reconnect the valve assembly?
Thanks!
Pat
