Ok, seems like I need to learn to solder. I’ll read up and give these things to my best “frienemy “

I really don’t want to do something over, we are prepping the home for sale in February

You get what you pay for, I use these for avionics installations in aircraft as they are recommended by the manufacturer of the avionics.

Solder Connectors

I used them extensively in the communications industry as a Telephone COE Equipment Installer back in the 70's. Used correctly, they are a great time saver and provide an electrically competent connection. Having said that, the wires connected were single strand, typically 22 gauge, and were pre-tinned. They were not subject to travel either.

Summed up--good tool, perhaps the wrong application.
