Fresh water tank leak
Well this just happened
2014 Fuzion FZ342
Rig has been at the river for 2 Months. Hooked up to water and Electrical.
I had to bring it home yesterday so I decided I should drain and refill Fresh water. This rig has a drain valve at the rear by the step. I opened the valve and let it drain as I have done in the past. While it drained I saw a piece of plastic or old hardened plastic glue come out and I thought how weird that would be there.
Once it drained I refilled and now have a leak that appears to be coming from the spot where the drain valve attaches to the tank. There was a bunch of the spray foam used to cover the gaps between the belly cover and down pipe. Anyone else have this issue?

Found the leak. Not good.
The fitting molded into the tank is cracked. The holds the supply hose fitting. Which I would guess was over tightened on installation.
I have an extended Warranty so I will be going that route but Keystone should be paying for this

Most of the tank drain fittings are screwed into the tank, not molded into it. You might want to check a little closer. Hopefully it's a 1/2" PVC fitting and you can simply unscrew it, find a replacement and be back in business for about a buck and a trip to the hardware store..... Let us know what you find.

I wish it was that simple. But not that lucky. If that cracked piece screws into the tank it would be awesome but by all appearances not

Looking at the pic, is the 90* fitting screwed into a reducer that’s threaded into the tank?

If that was the case, I would think it would have been leaking from the beginning. Just thinking out loud.
On edit: I see you edited your post. The 90* fitting screws into a fitting that was “spin welded” onto the tank. I wonder if the “weld” failed.

Chuckster
It looks to me like the rigger over tightened the fitting which caused the female side, which appears to be welded to the tank, to crack.
I’m not going to pull it apart any further because my extended warranty may be voided if I do. But it does appear the cracked piece is welded.
Do you know what size tanks these are? And does it have 1 or 2 Fresh water tanks. Specs show I have 120 Gallon Fresh water capacity it is a Fuzion FZ342
FYI I sent a photo of this to Keystone in an email and already got a nicely written sorry but we will decline letter. LOL
While I have your attention do you know of any reliable, licensed Mobile RV Techs in San Diego area?

If 120 gal of fresh water, then most likely a pair of 60’s.
I’m in the Central Valley and work in the Bay Area, sorry nobody here has any connections or recommendations for your area.

Finally got the new tank installed. And got some questions answered. It is a single tank 58x59 inches and 7 inches deep.

That only calculates out to be about 100 gallons.

I get 103.7
Round it up to 104...IF he has a 12gal water heater, then that’s where the 120 figure comes in.
