Battery voltage

Brand new 29bhs. Took it out for 2 trips within 2weeks. Sat for a month in storage. Now can’t get anything to turn on without shore power. Lippert panel shows battery voltage at 12.7 v. Battery disconnect switch has been tried in both positions(by the way, if they key is clockwise does that mean it’s disconnected or connected?) either way, trying to charge above 13 v per keystone but not sure what else to do or what went wrong.

12.7 volts should work fine. Do you notice a voltage drop while pressing the slideout switch or awning? If it does drop less than 10 and the voltage doesn't go up when you plug in shore power, there is something wrong with charging or the fuse panel. If it doesn't drop or move at all then I would check the fuse panel.
I am not sure about the disconnect. Usually is doesn't disconnect much anyway as far as I can tell. Some of the accessories on our Laredo operated in either position.

Thank you for replying. It doesn’t work at all if not connected to shore. Not a light switch. It doesn’t even seem like being connected to my house charges it at all. How long should it take to charge?

We also checked the fuses. Everything looks fine.

If you didn't disconnect the battery during storage it could be completely dead and unable to take a charge and needs to be replaced. If you disconnected the leads to the battery while it was in storage you could have reversed then when you reconnected them, it may have arced when you connected the negative lead. Some panels have a reverse polarity function that locks out power from the battery to prevent damage to the components.

Could also have an inline fuse near the batteries that goes to the converter.

With shore power plugged in measuren DC voltage at batteries with multi meter. It needs to read 13.2 to maybe 13.6

If not then either you have a faulty converter or battery with a shorter cell. Disconnect battery and measure voltage on battery cables. If not as stated above then converter is at fault

Check the two reverse polarity fuses located on converter or in some units in the power control box center.. they will be 30 amp or higher fuses.

12.7 volts when plugged into shore power indicates most likely issues is no output from the converter.

Did you get it going?
If battery disconnect (BD) is on, the battery won't charge and your interior lights won't operate. You will always have parasitic drain with the BD on such as the CO detector, memory on the radio, etc. The only way to fully stop all drain is to disconnect a battery cable.

With th BD off, the converter will charge your batteries. If you didn't disconnect your battery cables, you do not need to worry about the reverse polarity fuses. If you ever do remove your battery, be sure to note which cable is negative and which is positive.

Please give an update as it will help someone else down the line.
