Adding A/C to garage.

I have already added A/C to the bedroom, it was prepped there for second air. My Question is has anyone added A/C to the garage area where it isn't prepped. I am not concerened with the electrical, I will just run that in conduit to an external plug on a 20 amp circut seperately from the other system. My concern is will the roof hold it ok. There is a fantastic fan there now. Has anyone else done this.

I have one in my garage. No problems so far. We have a 13,500 A/C. same as the front A/C. We just ran a line to the outside, and put a 110 male cover outlet by the ladder. Just plug in an extension cord and plug into a 110.

Worth every dime in Texas...

Garage aircon

We use a portable in the garage, it's a 7.5k unit, exhaust's through the window, has worked awesome. While in Myrtle Beach my daughter used the garage for a bedroom on air mattress, while at Bristol August race, we use the garage for cool down area, the small aircon unit even runs on a 1k genset.
