Fresh Water Tank

Does anyone know if the Outback 277RL fresh water tank can be gravity filled from a water bladder or does the water have to be pumped into the tank?

I’ve *never* heard of a tank that needs water pressure-pumped in. Isn’t your inlet about chest high on the outside? I’ve used 5 gallon water jugs to fill mine through a funnel.

I'm not the trailer pro but I believe all fresh water tanks are gravity filled. The city fill needs to be presser/pumped.

Open the hatch, remove the cap, and pour it in. Where it comes from matters not; hose, jerry can, water bladder, or whatever.

I kinda had the same question on my maiden voyage. Water kept gurgling back when I tried to fill the fresh water tank with 9 gallon canisters. Turns out it was because of the funnel I was using didn't allow air into the filling tube. Got a funnel with a smaller diamter neck and all is good now.

Like Stevec7010, I fill mine at home using a hose fitted with an inline filter. But at the camp grounds I use a 5 gallon pail and funnel. Most of the camp grounds that we visit are NYS DEC or Parks and recreations do no have water hook ups.

We have a 277RL. Gravity fill is fine. That little hole with the screen on it next to the water fill is a vent for the Fresh water tank. 277RLs rule !
