Insurance on Montana HC 384BR

I got my bill from Foremost, just paid it, it was $1404 for the year. I was kind of shocked.
When the agent asked for the price of the fifth wheel over the phone I told him the msrp, $72,000.

No questions about full time use since we still own our house and aren't full timing it yet.

Is this high or is this just what it costs?

Seems very hi. Perhaps they don't know that it's a 5er? And think it's a class A? You may want to question why so much . And maybe shop for new insurance?

We are taking possession of a new Carbon 417 tomorrow, $73k value, full coverage for one year here in Alaska is $291.00, State Farm with multiple vehicles insured. There must be a misunderstanding in your case to be that pricey, regardless of location.

Absolutely way too high! I pay $303 per year for full coverage, including roadside assistance. My Cougar 32RLI is not as expensive as yours, but the $1404 per year that you're paying is what I paid for my class A motorhome.

You didn't get a cost BEFORE getting the bill? Rule #1in life is find out how much it cost before signing up, otherwise you are giving them a blank check.

My foremost TT policy is 328 a year, full coverage. Trailer is less than half of yours in value. You have a easy way to find out, call or email another co. in your state and get their quote. Each state has made their own rules about what insurance is and is not. That has an affect on everyone's cost. Also ask them why so damn high.

What is your deductible? That is really high.

Jumping on the excessive cost bandwagon. While our trailer is much less expensive than yours is we pay approx $500/yr living in our trailer full time (and Progressive knows we live in it, but we are stationary).
