Cougar 19rbe

Last summer we were staying at a Park in Wyoming and a couple had a great looking Cougar. I am thinking it was a 2013 or 2014 19rbe. It had a awesome front cap on it. When we got home and I started to shop around on the internet I could find the 2016 Cougar 19rbe but the front cap was gone! Did Keystone drop the front cap for 2016?

Is the pic of the one you saw or the 2016? Is the cap you refer to the LP tank cover? I think the new ones still have the contoured cap but they have removed the tank cover....if I'm following what you're asking.

No, its not but it looks just like it. The picture is of a 2014. Notice the big fiberglass front cap..

This is what a 2016 looks like. Unless the models are mis-marked they are both 19rbe's but the new 2016 is missing the front cap..

Looks like they dropped it after 2014, don't see it on the 15 or 16s. Shame, I think the fiberglass cap adds a lot to the looks and I'm sure the extra protection is well worth the little extra cost for keeping it on there.

Not sure if Keystone dropped the cap or not, but I can give you a couple advantages/disadvantages to it. First, the aero front cap tows great and makes a big difference on fuel mileage. They do make it a bit harder to get to the propane tanks. Finally, there is only room for one 24 series battery in front of the tanks instead of having room for 2 behind the tanks. If you do dry camping and want a double battery setup, you need to figure something out.

Since I could not find a 2016 Cougar 19reb. I ended up getting a 2016 Premier 19fbpr. I liked the front of the Cougar better but this one was nice too..

Not my unit but looks the same..

you may have been looking at the x-lite model which would have had the fiberglass contoured front cap

Bullet Premier is still making a 19 with the contoured front cap if that size is your preference . . . we love ours

I really liked the front cap, but, nothing that had one fit into what we were looking for so ended up with a Passport Grand Touring without one. But still wondered what it would cost me to have one put on.

Congrats on the purchase of your 19FBPR. We have had ours for 14 months and are quite pleased with it.

Be sure to check out the Community forum dedicated to our trailer model. See the "menu bar"; it's the third entry from the left.
