12v outlet in rv, use inverter?

Hello, I have a keystone hideout and noticed behind our entertainment center we have what looks like a cigarette/12v outlet.

Pic is here

I was wondering if it's possible to plug in an inverter (say 100watt) to power the tv (tv uses 38watts)? Does anybody have this and use it like that? I know for larger inverters you need really thick cables and can't run them that long, which is why I'd only use a really small inverter just for the tv.

Thanks

That is exactly what I do. I use a 300 watt pure sine wave inverter with a 12v plug. Here is a link

Here is a video I made about my off grid power system including the inverter.

Yes, it should be adequate to power a 100 watt inverter. You will find the socket is smaller than you are accustomed but it will fit.
