Plumbing
General question just to satisfy my curiosity:
How is the drain's plumbing connection handled when a sink, tub or toilet is located in a slide? I can see where an electrical, water and/or gas line could be handled with a flexible tube, but I don't understand how a watertight seal is maintained for the drain line when it has to "slide".
It's not one of those things that keeps me up at night, but I do wonder about it.
Thanks.

Flexible drain line. The ends have a "compression" ring like that on a sink trap. Tighten the ring to seal the pipe.
Did I explain it right?

Yes, I understand what you are saying.
I am surprised that one would use corrugated tubing (which I assume is the flexible line large enough to handle the waste from the toilet) as it might catch small waste and add to an aroma issue. That's why I was thinking there had to be some kind of slip joint, but I couldn't figure out how it would be made watertight.
Thanks!

I can't say I've ever seen toilet drain into flex line except AFTER a macerator. Common for kitchen's on a slide or outside.

I've been thinking for a while about this question and I really can't remember ever seeing a toilet in a slide. I've seen sinks, showers, ice makers in refrigerators, washer/dryer combos, but never a toilet. It might be available, but I've never seen one.

Sometime in the past year at one of the RV shows I attended I could have sworn I saw a toilet in a slide (I think a very high end class A), but my memory is probably incorrect.
Either way, it's nice to know how the gray water is removed.
Thanks!

Plumbing
There are bathrooms on slides, but every one I've seen the toilet is more to the center of the coach, putting it on the floor of the coach not the slide. Any idea what brand?

At this distance, not a clue! I do remember three things about that motorhome, though:
- it's cost (something north of $350K)
- it had a neat towel rack on the back of the bathroom door; I took a photo of the door, intending to make a rack like it, but ended up buying something at IKEA (I have a post on that).
- it had marble floor tiles in the public space up front (don't recall what was in the rear bedroom).
I don't recall a seam on the bathroom floor, but there could have been one.

We sell a motorhome that is $425,000.00 MSRP. Post a pic of that door, some of these high end units have "exclusive" parts. Marble floor tiles are somewhat common and the floors are heated.

Here is the photo. I'm afraid you can't tell much about the motorhome from my photo other than the door, but perhaps that's enough.
In lieu of the small hook we have that has a hard time holding onto a towel, this towel rod is a masterpiece. The metal rods swing out to accommodate the towel. I was planning on making one like this, but was unable to locate acceptable metal rods that could be formed to swing like these. In the interim, this spring we went to our first IKEA and saw something that, while not as slick, fit the bill acceptably. The post and photo of what I put in are here: http://www.keystoneforums.com/forums...ad.php?t=29750
