Leaking out of the back

I recently fill my fresh water tank and went camping. The minute I turned on the pump water started leaking out the back of the trailer. As soon as I turned off the pump the water would eventually stop coming out. Any ideas of what it could be? Did I over fill? Or is something major wrong?

You have a broken water line somewhere, or a cracked connecting joint.

Have you used this camper before, how old is it, are you the original owner, is this the first time you are using it, does it leak if you hook up to city water and don't use the water pump?

What make and model and year is the camper?

It’s a keystone passport model 239mlwe yes I’ve used it before and no I’m not the original owner. It’s a 2020 and I used it last year and had no problems. We went on our first dry camping trip last weekend and had the problem. Haven’t hooked up to city water yet I didn’t want to cause any more issues.

So, a bit more clarity will help? Was the trailer kept in a freeze zone state? And if it was, was the trailer winterized? If it is located in a freeze zone state and it was not winterized, then most assuredly you have busted water lines. If the water lines were blown, it's possible they could still have water in them and those low points in the plumbing had water that froze. If RV antifreeze was used to winterize, then there's no reason why a line would freeze up, unless it wasn't done throughly.

So, considering the camper has not been used for several months, did it go through a winter freeze and was it winterized? That's where the trouble shooting needs to start.

Go for the easy and obvious. Your water heater will have a lot of connectors for inlet, outlet, valve for the bypass, and a few tees. Thake the access panel off to stick your head in there under the cabinets and check it. Your sink connections are another source of possible leaks.
