Florida bound

Hi all, my girlfriend and I just purchased a 2017 Cougar 33mls and love it. We are planning a trip to the aouth this christmas. I have already reserved a site at Hilton head S.C. for a week then moving along to Florida for another week.
I wanted to stay in the keys but it is either booked or still recovering from Irma.
My question is, where else in florida is a nice place to stay? I've looked and looked and i know i don't want to stay at an rv park thats run down with management problems.
Rock crusher canyon?
Anything else along the coast.
Thanks a bunch.

First, welcome to the forum. Secondly, we have stayed at Rock Crusher and it was okay, no problems. However we have stayed at Crystal Isles RV Resort many times and it is a great RV resort and closer to the water. Same town, just on the gulf side of highway 98. PM me if you need more information. And you will be getting there during the best time to see the manatees up close and personal.

Call early for reservations!!!!! We load up fast with snowbirds. If you enjoy a less hectic pace, google Cedar Key RV Resort. Great place with lots of elbow room and only a few miles from Cedar Key on the Gulf coast. But, again call NOW!!! Also, you gotta try Tony's, the best clam chowder you've ever tasted. Good luck.

For the NE coast of FL, I suggest either Hannah Park (a city park/RV park a short walk from the ocean) or Flamingo Park, privately owned and which is further inland but more "developed". Both have web sites. You can use Jacksonville as a launching point to the GA coast, St. Augustine, and of course, our "First Coast" area.

As previously suggested, make your reservations quickly.

Safe travels.

If you are over 55 one of the nicest places to stop is Travelers Rest Resort outside of Dade City, Florida.

www.travelersrestresort.com

Many people have stopped for the night and stayed for a lifetime.

Time to make many life long memories in your new RV!

Small world...Rock Crusher Canyon is just a mile from my Mom and a couple miles from my sister and her family on the Plantation Golf Resort. Been visiting there countless times since 1974. Haven't stayed at Rock Crusher, but have heard good things about it. As another has stated I have heard good things about Crystal Isles RV Resort as well.

Tons of stuff to do in Crystal River and Homasassa. Just north is Cedar Key as well...be sure to visit the "Curmudgeonalia"! PM if you need specifics of places to eat and see! Be more than happy to help.

Regards,
Mike

Imenzies76, I'm posting a link for you to visit that may make your trip plans change just a little. This is a sight giving you average monthly temperatures for cities all across Florida.
https://www.currentresults.com/Weath...th-average.php
And you need to CALL NOW. Or you'll be camping in the rest areas.
