While you are at it .... I would replace the entire hose with clear vinyl hose of same id size. I am sure as soon as you start moving the old hose on an '02 trailer it will start to crumble. JM2, Hank ..... ask me how I know that.

I had a 2010 that I had to replace the hose on; was brittle brittle.... the hose on my trailer is in good shape so very likely has already been swapped at sometime fairly recent.

I had same problem but my hose just deteriorated. Mine did not have a cap on the end and exited out the refrigerator side vent. I ran an aluminum tube down and out the bottom of the camper. Capped the end with window screen and wire tie. Works great and very cheap.
