Did you check to see if the balance L-R is adjusted properly?

Did it ever work? If you can take the speaker out, you can test it. When I test a speaker, I touch a 9V battery to the contacts to see if the speaker cone moves.

If it’s gone bad, it must be a time for a nice speaker upgrade.

1. Get access to the back of the stereo and make sure everything is plugged in all the way and properly connected.

2 Make sure balance is centered, and try them again.

3. If one is still DOA, just swap the Left and Right speaker wires. If the non-working speaker is the other one now, then you'll know that the problem is somewhere in the wiring and not the speaker itself.

4. Also worth pulling the outside speaker and making sure the wires are firmly connected to the speaker terminals.

5. If your speaker selector switch is separate from the stereo itself, it would be a good idea to open that up and see if there is anything loose or not connected in there.
