This should be enough

We sell those units. I’ve personally seen one leave our dealership on the back of a Chevy 2500 gas rig. Came in last week for service hooked up to a new Ford F450.

That is one nice set up there in the picture.

I can't remember what all he said about it had a DD15 thought he said 550hp, him & his wife fight to drive, but says he only gets 7 mpg, thought it would be more.

As I'm sure many snowbirds will also attest, we see a large number of tractors (usually single screw) pulling 5v'ers when we're on the road. Internationals and Volvos probably the most common.

We saw a caravan of three rigs in several campgrounds in Alaska that were similar to this. They each had a smart car loaded behind the tractor cab and in front of the 5th wheel. Definitely a head turner. Had hoped to see them load/offload the car but was not so lucky. I wondered how the car ramps were configured.

They each had “not for hire” painted on the doors of their tractors. I expect this has some legal ramifications but not really sure.

Whenever I see a setup like this (without the not for hire sign), I always wonder if it’s an OTR trucker on vacation. I just figured why not, they already own a good truck for towing...

DOT allows a vehicle over 26,001 lbs as a truck, not a comm truck if used "not for hire." There is a whole different book on driver/vehicle rules. Many less rules than "driving for hire." In Oregon they are still supposed to go though a open scale. Normally they get waved though.

I'm sure some 'weight police' will complain that this isn't enough to pull the trailer.

Curious to know what accommodations in that cab are like? Likely nicer than the back row of a "mortal" truck haha

They are nice and big enough to sit at a table and write a police report while talking to the driver. Some have RV toilets among other nice stuff.

Bunk, sink, port-a-potty, mini frig, and microwave and you license it as a RV motorhome in many states. Thus no drivers license restrictions.

I looked at the new Cascadia brochure, it is crazy nice. Now my wife wants one so she is not stuck sitting on a bench seat with the 2 year old while I drive haha

Someone should make a Sleeper Cab Hauler on the M2 chassis - the current haulers I have seen are just 2 rows of seating instead of a nice living compartment to make the drive nicer for passengers.

We had a park neighbor for a couple years with a KW sleeper about like the look in the pic but in white. Towed a 5 slide GD. His hitch was way back over rear wheels and had a ramp to run their Can AM sideways between the cab and hitch. He rented 2 spots to have room for everything. Don't remember who he said built them but apparently there are 12 just like his and they occasionally meet up for a week in Lake Havasu area.

On our summer trip (4 weeks) this summer saw one of those in a KOA, had the
smart car. He used ramps and a electric winch to lower and raise the smart car
on to the back of the truck.

And yes two parking spaces.

Two years ago we saw this amazing custom built motorhome at Malibu RV Park. It was custom built on either a KW or Freightliner chassis. Guy said his wife designed it.
