Diverted valve

For some reason I have the valve switch to city water and I got up this morning and my tank was overflowing it sounds like it shuts it off from flowing into the tank but it must be leaking a little bit has anyone else had this problem

Check your water pump. There is a backflow valve "built into the pump diaphragm/roller assembly" that will leak city water through the pump and fill the fresh water tank if any trash gets caught in the diaphragm.

Easy to clean and reassemble, but the problem of getting to the pump in some trailers is the hassle.

We had that problem several years ago, and not being near an RV store, went to a local hardware store, picked up a check valve that would work on the 1/2" PEX in our rig, and cut it into the line on the pressure side of our pump. Problem solved. Still working, even with a new pump that replaced a failed one. The check valve is the brass thing in the blue water line above the pump.

Noticed this issue this morning. Trailer is only a year old! Turned off city water and ran the pump for a minute, hoping to flush the crud out of the valves and will keep an eye on it. Chris
