Sparky, Glad that your first trip was enjoyable. Keeping ants (or other creepy crawlers ) out can be difficult when you have little ones or pets or both. We (now that we are just two adults) use bug spray on all things that touch the ground wires, hoses, stabilizers and lead to entry points on the trailer. When we had little people we used Vaseline on wires and hoses as a deterrent but still used bug spray on landing gear and jacks.
I hope this is what you were looking for, Hank

We’re careful about leaving food out. And use EcoSmart spray outside the trailer. When I camp, I patrol around the trailer looking for ant trails and then spray them.

Glad your 1st trip out was a success. I haven't tried this yet but was told to "Get Rid of Ants: Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it 'home,' can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works and you don't have the worry about pets or small children being harmed." On a weekend campout this may not be a quick enough rememdy but...............
