What is it???

Okay guys, I have a 2007 Keystone 339 FWSLS Copper Canyon. On the curb side and just next to the entry door is a small hatch covering some kind of water connection. It has what looks like a pressure valve on it. I tried to take it off and man it took a big pair of channel locks to move it. As it was coming off it started to squirt clean water out of it, so I put it back.

I was told that it might be the black tank clean out, if so, why is it on the curb side, all the ones I have ever seen were located near the black tank outlet. Why was clear water coming out? I had to put a double female hose connector on it to hook up a water hose to it, as the connection was a male end.

I can not find anything on this. Any ideas? Thanks.

As mentioned a photo would help, but I suspect the previous owner installed a hose connection for an outside shower or clean-up area.

Pressure Valve?

Is it a water heater pressure relief valve?

I've included a picture of one, but I have a hard time believing it is a water heater pressure relief valve, but perhaps they put it there?

I used to have a passport and it had a black tank flush on the curbside on the outside of the trailer. but it wouldn't be pressurized like you said. post up a couple pictures so we can see it.

tgpilot, Howdy;

Well, all I can help with is that the Brass part is a back-flow
preventer. The kind you can buy at your Local hardware store.
The way that it's installed the flow will go FROM your RV to the
outside and prevent flow going into the RV. Do you perhaps have
a Flo-jet system installed??? http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...pump-kit/26125
or some other similar type of system Any way, let us know what you 'discover"

After looking at the photos I still think it is an after market outside shower. I would guess it lines up with the cabinet under the kitchen or lavatory sink or maybe a storage area.. Looks like a good install but I don't think from factory. JM2¢, Hank

This is your outside water connection/hose bib, just like on your house. Use it for any external water connection you wish. I use mine with my pressure washer to wash dirt bikes after a muddy ride. And, yes, it is a factory job.

Originally, I was thinking *after-market item* too, but... it's your (factory installed) water station.

See page 5 of the brochure: [there's a pic] http://www.keystonerv.com/media/3250...ure_LowRes.pdf

Thanks guys for the help, it's been driving me nuts. Yes, I did buy it used and the books on it did not cover much. It's located near the shower, and that's all that is on that side except for the bathroom sink and some cabinets.

I can't find any thing else such as a black tank cleaner on the rig. I had hoped that there was, but nothing yet. So, I assume that if I want water on that side, I just hook up a hose to it and go from there on city water. Crazy, why not just use a longer hose on the other side to reach every thing? I used to pull these things from the MFG's, and still never understood them....LOL.

I did buy a Direct TC Tailgater today and after about two hours got it working with the screwy connections on the rig. Think I may like it.

If anyone else has a thought on anything, please let me know and again thanks for the help.

It's quite possible that the black tank flush feature wasn't introduced until '08 so you may be looking for something that isn't there on your '07 model.

Maybe some of our members who have 2007 units can chime in and set us straight.

Our '07 Cougar does not have a black tank flush and I don't remember seeing them offered on any other models we looked at that year. JM2¢, Hank*

In 2004 I bought a brand new Cedar Creek, and if I recall it had a black tank washout on it guys. Won't swear to it, but I believe it had one.
