For people wanting to host pictures

I have used this site for a while to host pictures I want to post on message forums. Save it to your favorites for future use. Its free and there is never any down time.

Also, for people who want to resize their photos this is a little app I have used for years to do the job. Very small program and dumbed down for rookie users. The app is called PIXresizer.

Hey thanks for point out imgur. I just started using it today for the first time and I love how simple it is.

For image resizing I use IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/)

So now I'm armed with an iPhone, imgur, and Tapatalk, so you will be seeing many future photo's from me.

No problem.
I love seeing pics from other peoples travels and most don't post pics because they don't know how. Sooo wanted to give people the heads up on an easy way to do it.

I downloaded Irfanview and will give it a spin tomorrow. I read the features list and it def out performs the one I use. I like the feature of how you can add lines and other things to your images plus you can save them to a slide show. Pretty neat setup for a free open source app. thanks

Thanks for the link to the picture host

I do all my picture re-sizing with a Windows Toys Image re-sizer clone. It creates a right click option in your Windows file manager to Re-size pictures. Just right click on one or more picture files and re-size. It has predefined sizes to select from as well as a custom option.

It's open source software so the price is right -- a download.

+1 for IrfanView!

I've been using it for several years now, and it's the only software I use to manipulate or work with pics. The drop downs have so many options that they can be a bit intimidating at first until you figure out what's valuable to you and what you can ignore. I mostly use cropping and resizing for stuff that I post to the net and forums.

For a long time, I used Paint to add arrows or circles to pics. IrfanView has that capability built in. On the Edit drop down, select Show Paint Dialog or just hit F12. IrfanView's text capabilities are some of the best I've ever seen in this kind of software.

I use IrfanView for batch resizing and batch renaming. Nice feature.

I really got turned off to pic hosting sites after Webshots dumped everything. I had spent a lot of time creating folders of the many CG's we visited and had over 600,000 views. I will not put that much effort into a hosting site again for any reason. If I can't post from my HD or if I don't already have it on photobucket, I'm not doing pics.

Well if that's the case, host your own site. don't say its too much money as you can use this site and its between 5-11$ for the year.
http://www.cookiehost.com/ccc.php

I have used them and my site was never down.
there are plenty of picture hosting apps/codes to where you can run your own image uploading site.

I can assist you with creating your own site but not for free, I apologize for not doing it for free but time is money.
