Just making sure before I break it
This extension between hose and wall of RV is leaking and I cannot get it loose without fear of breaking while we are out and actually using the RV. I bought a new pressure regulator, which I think that is what this is but cannot get the extension loosened with channel locks, only have one right now, but Wal Mart is close.

The black piece is not a pressure regulator. It is part of the selector valve for tank fill/city water. About the only campground serviceable piece is the screen/washer.

Thanks for saving my life on this one. It can leak for now.

I think if it were me, I would replace that black plastic extension fitting with one of these. https://www.amazon.com/Hooshing-Fitt...%2C270&sr=8-15

I did not "replace" my garden hose connections, but I did add these to all of mine so the plastic ? / Pex threaded connection would not strip out. I then tightened them down pretty good to the "plastic?" connection and then finger tight the garden hoses on the metal. Works well, and no chance of stripping or damaging the factory installed "plastic?" connection!
To get that hose off, you can also use a second pair of regular plyers in the wide channel setting to grip and the channel locks on the other. (If you have a regular pair of plyers.)

You might want to consider adding a brass L fitting [LINK] to the end of your hose, to reduce the torque on that connector. (I can't tell from a photo, but perhaps that connector is a little too far recessed to be reached by the average L fitting.)

That looks like someone already changed the factory set up. What's the hose connection to the left go to?

The other fitting is a flushing location.

That is the standard water interface for that class TY. Ours has the same connections and selector valve.
From right to left: potable water connection, black tank wash, potable tank vent.

Exactly! Got it to stop leaking by putting a pressure regulator at the faucet before the hose and put in new gasket. Nothing leaking x72 hrs.

This would be less confusing if the photo included more to the left and upwards.
The big, bulbous plastic finger-nut at the very left is typically associated (at least in my mind) with a city water connection. The next port to the right certainly looks like a vent. The last, unadorned connection that the hose is on might then be a tank fill or a tank flush, but given the switch directly above that seems to allow you choose between city water and (tank fill?) functions, the implication is that those functions would share one input port (which one?)
More context in this photo certainly would have helped.

This thread was a need for information in a fairly quick manner. I know some of the folks here know their poop really well and the very first post was my answer. So if you didn't get enough information to suit you, get a life.
