New Alpine 3220RL won’t hold fresh water

We purchased a new Alpine 3220RL a few weeks ago. First trip we are boon docking. Filled up fresh water before leaving home, arrived at our destination and only 1/2 full. After researching online learned of the poor design of the vent so the husband figured out a way to install a ball valve to close it to get to our destination. We get back to the destination, open the valve and water was leaking from a totally different spot. The tank was showing to be down to half full again, black and gray tanks were showing maybe 1/3, left to go grab lunch came back and now control panel is showing empty on all tanks. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Will be having to take back to the dealer next week!

Those sensors are notorious for being absolutely useless.

Alpine won’t hold fresh water

We actually don’t have any fresh water left is the only problem. But I don’t think it lost everything in the black and gray tank.

Unless there's a faucet turned on there's no way for freshwater to get into a waste holding tank. Do you travel with the water pump turned on? I've read of some models with rear kitchens and rear water tanks where the vent for the fit would siphon water at highway speeds especially on winding roads.

I'd suggest filling the tank, then monitor it for leaks while it sets a couple of days with the pump off. If no loss of volume then turn the pump on and monitor the pump for cycling with no water use. That will eliminate a tank leak or water line leak.
