Fuzion 371Cold Weather Performance

Just thought I would let everyone know how my 371 is holding up in the beginning of winter.
There has been alot of posts on winter proofing for cold weather use, underbelly work ect.

My 2015 FZ371 I purchased new in September and I have worried about the use in cold weather ie freezing water lines. I have a heated water supply hose and a towel blocking the hole for the water hose inlet into my valve closet. Well here in Eastern Tennessee we have had several days below freezing ie 23°f this morning we hit 11°F and water inside flowing freely. I am Doing the Happy Dance

I have also bought a dual zone indoor outdoor thermostat from Amazon. I have one sensor outside under my slide for monitoring outdoor temps. One in the Basement to monitor that and also one in the Water / Valve closet. Both the basement and Closet have been right with the same as the coach indoor temps. Nice to know that these areas are staying warm.

Hopefully I will continue to have an issue free winter.

Cheers.......

Good to know even though we don't get too much cold weather down here. It did get down to 27 this morning but up to 60 this evening. Close to 80 by the weekend!! Had the trailer 2 weeks and its been on 2 trips already with no problems. Next trip Thanksgiving weekend. I have 3 grandsons and the garage area and patio is ideal for the boys.

kbravo1974,

Are you living in your Fuzion? If so, what have you done to accommodate winter other than the heated hose and the towel to block cold air at the entry?

JRTJH,

Yes I do live it during the week. I am working a project out here. I have done nothing other than keep the furnace set at 72° to keep the basement heated.

Nice to know. We live here in Virginia and the weather is up and down so we did not winterize due to being able to camp some during the winter when it peaks at 65 over a weekend. I have kept my furnace on and it really doesnt run much even though its chilly. We have it set on 60 to stay above freezing.
