His karate kid broom technique looks perfect. Those leaves never stood a chance.

Man! I sure miss the days of having my "free" helper around. He turned 50 a few days ago so guess I'm out of luck putting him to use anymore

I was thinking the same thing as Danny. My "previous roof sweeper" just turned 40, is 6'5", 240 lbs and could easily toss me up on the roof (I'd never try to pick him up any more). My concern would be that if he did "toss me on the roof" that he'd want to bounce me on the floor a couple times while setting up his free shot...... No thanks, I'll postpone until I get home and use the ladder LOL

So funny guys. This one is our 16 year old middle child. He’s 6’3 and still growing. Our oldest is 19 and a shorter stockier version [emoji23] Oldest isn’t asked to get on the roof - he gets strapped with the heavy lifting jobs instead.
I can appreciate what you all are saying about those days being in the past for you. We feel this time fleeting and we’ve been trying to pack in as much more as we can before they aren’t under our roof anymore.

Good for you !!!! Every minute you spend with them now is a cherished memory for you and for them. You're so right when you say that the time is fleeting. It'll be "over before you know it" and they will be grown, living away from home, have families of their own and too busy lifting their own kids onto the roof to take time to come home to visit (except for holidays)....
Enjoy them now while you can !!!!!

^^^^What John said!! You're doing the right things. You will be amazed when they are gone that the time you had them, those many years, seems like a fleeting moment as John said. You will have only the memories that you have been making and those infrequent holiday visits. Make all the memories you can while you can.

Maybe someday they will own RVs too and their future families will camp with you too.
