Leaky 5th Wheel

I bought a new 35 ft Keystone Montana at Collier`s RV in Rockford IL in July of 08. Within a month it was leaking. Moldy furniture, carpet and flooring coming up. They attempted to fix it on 3 occassions. Thought all was well, they winterized it and I put it in storage. I got called to work in April of 09 and got my RV but 2 of the 3 slides wouldn`t open, nails coming through carpet, kitchen flooring up again. They ok`d it to go into Camping World in Myrtle Beach since I was working in GA. It stayed there from April til Oct. I use it for work so my motel bills are over $5,000. Today, after having it 3 weeks I see my dry storage is soaked . I noticed the backing on my storage cupboards is peeling off on every one. I called Keystone at ten am and talked to Brandon who never returned my call. Anybody out there with any advice ai would forever be in your debt.

Before offering any advice, it would seem from what you have described in your post, that your unit was leaking long before you purchased it. Moldy furniture and carpeting and loose flooring would most likely occur not just within a month's time. When you say that they "attempted to fix it", did they remove and replace the moldy carpet? What did they do about the moldy furniture and the flooring that was coming up? Why did it take the dealership three attempts? Did it still show signs of leaking?
I assume that CW fixed your slides and the flooring. ?????
It doesn't appear as though anyone has stopped the leaking.
Obviously, you have some serious issues to deal with and your warranty has expired. There have been some instances where the dealer and Keystone have come through and helped out in situations like this and I would hope that both would do the right thing for you.
I would go back to your dealer, to Camping World and keep trying to get Keystone to address your problems.
Welcome to the Forum and I hope the members here can give you some direction and support.

I in general agree with Festus2. That is a lot of damage for 1 month of leaking. We have talked to Brandon at customer service and he has been helpful. Keystone customer serice has always responded to our calls for help. Call again.

Call your lawyer!!! You need to take action against this company now. Your out of pocket expenses are probably double or triple what you think they are. This unit should have been lemoned(is that a word?). No other industry would even consider fixing something like that. There is no possible way on earth they could have properly removed the mold spores and it's still leaking!! They should have burned it and replaced it.
