Sedona and surrounding area is a great place to be in the winter months. Kicking back with Margaritas is a great way to pass time after a long day

Yup I have 85 beater truck 4x4 with new engine and no rust southern NM. I wonder if the west coast ocean is hard on vehicle, come to think of it there wasn't many old beater vehicle around .I seen old class c Idaho that had more duck tape on it than Wal-Mart had on there shelf.

To answer your question, no the left coast ocean air isn’t causing rust buckets.

No the southern west coast area doesn't produce a lot of rust buckets.
Years ago when I was restoring old Mustangs I bought several from southern CA. Bonus was no rust when I tore them down only straightening body panels and paint. Mind you drivetrains and interiors were always done no matter where the car came from. Some of those CA. cars I actually broke even or made a few bucks. Especially if the black plates were still on them.

As long as you have the right attitude and are healthy enough to enjoy it, we have the best of both worlds up north. We get some nice heat in the summers and great outdoor activities in the winter snow. Its just the Fall to winter transition period (after the beautiful Fall colours are gone and before the snow has accumulated) that's a bit depressing. I can't imagine Christmas on the beach - its just not right.

You laugh...I live in the mid-atlantic. They put so much salt down your eyes will burn - even on threat of snow (and sometimes we don't even get any)

Guess how much salt is used in "Salt" Lake City
We have an entire desert of the stuff just west of town so UDOT freely uses a lot of salt and we have more rusted junkers on the road to prove it.

Yep I live in Ogden and it is the same here. poured a new driveway 2 years ago. It is already pock marked from the salt dripping off of vehicles.

But when I relax with my margarita in Arizona my blood pressure drops. Unfortunately my recent installation of a chest zipper is causing us to actually face a MN winter this year.
