wiring a headphone jack to dvd player

I am trying to use wireless headphones to watch movies on the DVD player in our 2013 Bullet Ultra Lite so I don't wake the wife with my "guy movies". When I attached the headphones base to the TV they work fine to watch TV but don't work with the DVD player as that comes out on the ceiling speakers. It is a Jensen DVD player/radio. Anyone have any suggestions on how to hook up the wireless base to the DVD player, the base uses a red & white AV plug? Thanks

You can buy a red and white plug (RCA) to Aux plug cable.
Plug red and white into your base and aux plug into your player.

The AUX plug says "AV IN" so i thought it wouldn't push out to headphones, but I'll give it a try. Thanks

I was originally not able to see the aux jack clearly.
If it doesn't work, there's only four screws holding that unit in place. There may be some sort of jacks on the back. Can you get access without removing the DVD player?

I think post 2 will probably set you up but sounds like your TV isn't wired through the receiver? What speakers does the TV use, the internal ones? If so pull that receiver and rewire it so all of it passes (TV) through the receiver and you don't have to move those A/V cables around every time you switch sources. The TV should then play through the ceiling speakers as well. I had to do that on my 2014 Cougar High Country. The unit didn't look exactly like yours but it was a Jensen.

Pull the 4 screws and look at the inputs/outputs on the back. I don't know what kind of TV you have but it probably has audio out jacks of some kind. Wire those to the receiver into one of the inputs (looks like you have an aux input) and you should be able to listen to the TV audio through the receiver and the ceiling speakers. When I revised mine I also added new Kenwood speakers in the ceiling.
