Rec/con wiring

I have a 2014 22 rbpr. The REC/CON circuit has a short. I have tested the inverter, battery, and refrigerator. The power to the fridge outlet is good. When it leaves the fridge outlet, that seems to be where the short is. Can anyone provide a schematic showing how the trailer is wired on that circuit?
The only thing left to isolate is the TV outlet and the two bedroom outlets.
Thanks for your time.
John

How do you know there's a "short"? Is it line to ground, line to neutral, or ?? Are you using an ohm meter to test with? First step would be to unplug everything first to eliminate any device that's plugged in. Then I would disconnect the wire to the converter (power off first) so it is isolated. From there remove each outlet to isolate the wires that connect them.

There have been instances of folks finding a staple thru the romex that over time created a short to ground or neutral with the line.

Hi flybouy.
Yes I have tested the line leaving the refrigerator outlet and there's a short between the ground and black leg, not the neutral.
Everything is unplugged and has been tested on a different circuit.
Ran the fridge from an outside GFI outlet successfully last week.
TV tested , so I'm really leaning towards your staple explanation.
I would really like to know where these wires are routed.
I don't have one of the speedwire installation tools and I'm not a fan of disconnecting and reconnecting the outlets, but that looks like something I'll need to get over.

Thanks for the prompt response.
John

Keystone considers wire and plumbing diagrams as "proprietary " and will not share them. Sounds like you're going to have to remove the wires from the outlets and test. I don't like the "speed outlets" either, they are just a problem waiting to happen.

The only advice I can offer you is that typically the wire will run from the breaker to the closest outlet first, then daisy chained to the next closest outlet. Good luck on your investigation.

Hi flybouy!
I think I have narrowed it to a wire daisy chained from the refrigerator.
It just happened that was the 1st wire I disconnected from the outlet.
All the other outlets are working.
Now I just need to find where the issue is.

Thanks very much for your response and ideas.
It is greatly appreciated.

Safe travels!
John

Any indication of arcing in that outlet? How far from the breaker panel is that outlet?

Hi flybouy.
I found that the wire leaving the outlet went through a hole through plywood and was spray foamed into place as well as the propane line (in another hole). It looks like the 110v wire started rubbing against a galvanized plate attached to the propane side of refrigerator furnace.
It had started to burn the insulation on the 14/2. We know that this could've been a whole lot worse.

This trailer is nine years old and has been issue free. Minor things as can be expected. This was a real surprise.
I'm mounting a junction box under the fridge and running marine 14/2 to the outlet. I'm also going to sleeve the new wire before foaming it all back into place.

I should have it back together tomorrow.
Thanks for the assistance.
John

You may already know this but if you use a metal junction box make sure you ground the box itself also and not just connect the Romex grounds together in the box. They make green ground jumpers with screws already attached or you can use ground clips

Hi Jasin1.
Thanks for the heads up.
I'm using a plastic shallow box and cover for the splice.
I appreciate your input.
Safe Travels
