Has anyone had an issue AFTER the thermostat fix is done where you turn on the heater and the A/C turns on? It happened to me this weekend and I had to throw the breaker on the A/C to get only the heater to function. Outdoor temp at the time was about 45 F. I think we used the heater one time after the fix and I don't recall this happening (my memory isn't what it used to be!) Thanks.

If you have the 3 button LED Dometic thermostat, make sure the fan is set to auto.

Thank you! That did the trick. I had it set to "LO" fan speed.

Do you know why the thermostat logic enables both units on heat and not on cool when not on "AUTO"? We hadn't run the heat for a while (a most unusual winter, even for Florida) and obviously we had the A/C fan throttled back from the last time we used it to cut back on the noise level.

Dometic decided that since warm air rises, the end user should have the option to use the roof ducting to distribute the heat produced by the furnace. Does it work?? Don't know because I don't have that set up.

I was under the impression that the AC compressor didn't turn on, just the fan. I think this question/observation has come up several times recently. Regardless, the fix each time has been to put the fan setting to auto.

Our 2014 was wired incorrectly... It is a quick fix if you can follow a wiring diagram...

Our 2014 22RBPR was wired incorrectly and I fixed it myself, following the information posted in This Thread, specifically posts 46 & 47.

It was a simple fix and took me 10 - 15 minutes.

Cheryl, It depends on your year of trailer. This has been going on for a while and any newer units should already be clear.

You can go to the KeystoneRV.com website, customer service section and you'll see a link for "recalls". Go to that link, choose a Keystone brand and it will list all the recalls (old and current) for that brand of trailer.

Just took my 2013 passport in as we are camping a mile down the road. Mine was supposedly wired correctly.

Wish there was a way to turn off notifications

Got the Safety Recall notice last year. Searched for and got the instructions: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/201...6V600-8361.pdf
Piece of cake, had an extra couple of crimp connectors, done in less time than I spent searching for the fix.

Dealer is far enough away I don't go for the "free" checks, full days drive to have them check tire pressure and tell me I need tires or a "preservation" treatment.

Now I get a "second notice" for the recall, can't find where to say it's fixed. Need to pass a law that keeps sales people out of website design and only allows techs. Maybe we would get websites that are useful.
