Alpine 3500 RL

The wife and I where out looking and we found a 2011 3500 RL for $42.999. Some up grades like all the slides have toppers and the side buy side frig., Gen. prep. Vent covers over all the out side vents. It was used for just a little and the people moved to a Class A.

Would like some in put from some of you all.

Thanks Bob

Be sure to have them show you the Automatic Transfer Switch. If it is an Iota, have them do the recall exchange. And download the PDI and take it with you when you look at it again, and if you buy it, when you walk-through.

Alpine 3500

While I don't have the same floor plan as you are looking at I do have a 2010 Alpine 3500RE. Overall we are happy with the unit and I think you have been offered a decent price for a slightly used unit (we paid more for our new 2010).

As GEO mentioned in his post please do a very extensive PDI. I have found and corrected several issues and I have made numerous trips to the local dealership to have other issues repaired under warranty. While the many of the items were minor they needed to be corrected.

One option to think about is upgrading the tires and rims prior to purchasing the unit. You can read several posts about the factory installed Tow Max tires and the problems that others have experienced. Your dealer might be willing to upgrade the tires if that will make the deal. Just something to think about.

You can contact me at my e-mail address if you need more information. Good luck in your purchase.

Tom

I have an Alpine, not the 3500, but their great units. Top of the line from Keystone.

geo,
Whats this "Automatic Transfer Switch" you speak of? Am I missing something?

I have that exact unit, and I would say 43K is a darn good price if it is in new condition. just look at what the new ones are going for.
I bought mine before the Alpine front living room came out, and started having a little buyers remorse but now that I have spent time in this unit, I am very happy we got the rear living room . higher ceiling feels more natural in the living area, we love the ceiling fan as well.

Bob,
We have a 2012 Alpine 3555RL and we LOVE it. If it's a trailer you want, at that price, I would suggest you snatch it up quick. That is considerably less than we paid for ours new and I think we got a reasonable deal.
Happy camping,
