Cougar 330RBK

I was really excited about the 2013 Cougar 330 RBK I looked at while at my local dlr ...love the layout, fit & finish, room, etc until I got to the master bdrm....the "step" on either side of the bed killed the whole thing...getting out of bed would be almost like having a mattress on the floor. How many times would I trip getting back in bed in the middle of the night?
Anyone else have thoughts on this? Bad design IMO

I'm a little stubby, but I need a step ladder to get in my bed from the left side. Cougar 318SAB.

Speaking from experience... we own a 2012 330RBK, and that step is dangerous.
My DW has fallen getting out of bed from that step and I have missed it a few times too. If I had to pick one bad thing about the 330RBK it would be that step... BUT now that we know it is there we are careful and have not had any mishaps... That makes me think of a MOD.. Maybe some dim rope light so that the pee breaks in the middle of the night are a little safer......

We have the Cougar High Country 291RLS & I'm not sure if the bedrooms are similar but on the opposite side from the closet, it was very high and I'm not short. My DH is very handy and he built an extension/platform that looks, as though, it came from the factory that way. Works like a charm, I don't know what Keystone was thinking with that design but it definitely was screaming for a mod. If anyone is interested I'll get some photos & post them.
