I'm New

I'm a new owner of 2012 331mks, purchased at the Cleveland Ohio Rv Expo.
I up graded from a hand me down fullsize 1986 Realite truck camper that my old man gave me. I had to totally rebuild the cabover portion from water damage, how fun. Today Feb 20 I finally pulled her home from the dealership so the wife and I can practice camping in our driveway. Does anyone ever name their 5ers?

Congratulations on your new MKS --- quite a significant upgrade from the camper you inherited from dad! There are a few members here who have names for their truck/tow vehicle as well as some who have named their RV. You can see some examples of these "handles" by looking at their signatures. Practice camping in your driveway is a good way to become familiar with your 5th ---- it often will reveal little things that need to be fixed or modified to better suit you and your wife as well as give you a better picture of what you need to buy to make it more comfortable and functional.
Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new 5er!

I named mine. Since several of my friends said it was big enough to be a yacht and I'm a big "Pirates of the Caribbean" fan it seemed only natural for the Raptor to be "the Pearl" without the Black adjective since it is white and I don't need to be sued! My truck is older, ugly (since it was a work truck before) so "Jack" after "Jack Sparrow" seemed appropriate for the truck. My daughters have always named their cars so I may have been influenced to name 5er and TV because of them.

Good luck with the new 331MKS. We love ours, but so far have only used it in the driveway. I refer to it as the MMC - Mobile Man Cave.
