Do you need both a 50 and 30 amp surge supressors

My FW is 50 amp. I've ordered an extension cord and a Progressive Industries EMS-PT50X Portable RV Surge Protector - 50 Amp. I've also ordered the 50 to 30 amp adapter in case I'm at an RV park that only has 30 amp service and a 50 to 15 amp so I can power the fridge while packing up for the next trip.

Understanding that while on 30 amp I'll be limited to one AC and when on 15 amp, only fridge and ceiling fan, no ac.

Question is do I need to pick up a 30 amp suppressor? Or would the 50 amp work on a 30 amp line? If so, from the FW to pedestal would be:
1. 50 amp cord to surge protector
2. surge protector to 50/30 amp adaptor
3. 50/30 amp adaptor to pedestal

Your 50A surge protector is all you need.

I carry one of each only because I already had one for a 30amp when I bought my new RV which has 50amp.

I'd be willing to bet that there are quite a few of us that have both for this very reason.
