Hello Everybody

Hello to all from the great state of Iowa. My wife and I just recently purchased a new 2014 Bullet Premier 31BHPR, and we are anxiously awaiting the delivery of our new unit so it can sit in our yard all winter and we can stare it and await the arrival of spring.

Little about us, married for 10 years next August, and we have 4 kids and 2 dogs. We love camping. I have been camping all of my life, my parents were great campers and loved to travel around. My wife is relatively new to camping, at first she was against it, but as the kids got a little older, and we would go to visit my parents camping, she realized how fun it can be. So we bought our first camper 2 years ago, a used Crossroads Bel Air bunkhouse. It had it's problems but the biggest was that if we were camping in any kind of weather that was unfavorable we just didn't have the room. Accidentally enough, our premature last camping trip of the season this year (in August), led us into the parking lot of a camper sales lot to look around. We found the floor plan that we liked, sold our camper last month and began the hunt for our next camper. Went to two camping shows, and found the Bullet Premier, this was the one. Found a good price on one, so we made the move last week on it, and it should be delivered next week sometime.

Our kids are 7, two 5 year olds, and a 3 year old, so now we will have plenty of room, and we can't wait. Glad to join the forum and can't wait to use the experience here to answer some questions that will most certainly arise.

Welcome to the forum

Your new trailer doesn't need to sit like yard art. Ours is behind the fence, but we still use it. Fill it with water, plug it in and spend a weekend in it.

I'm with Chuckster on this one. At least plug it in, heat it up, and everyone spend a night or two. Kids will think you're camping. Maybe use a porta-potty or the like. Welcome to the forum. Lotsa good people and info here.

HI AND FROM CONNECTICUT! Enjoy your new trailer when it comes in. and when you have some time go over to the sticky and print the PDI check list read it and bring it with you when you go to pick it up. When our camper is stored in the back yard i would fire up the furnace and my dw will grade papers there She says the Kids get better grades on their test when she corrects them in the camper!

Awesome and congrats, welcome to the Bullet Premier family. We love ours so much. With 4 kids you will love the bunkhouse. I live at the outdoor kitchen, best thing ever. Can feel your excitement, enjoy. We look at ours all winter as well as it is out the door at the end of the driveway. It is all tucked away for the winter now but as soon as spring hit, the wife and I will be off. We have about 84 nights in it so far over 2 years and will add to that nicely this year. Great unit, best of luck.

from Newport R.I., As two of our three boy's have grown and moved on we are patiently awaiting the arrival of our new Cougar 337FLS in mid-January and say goodbye to the bunkhouse TT.
There may certainly be a mid-winter back yard camping trip in our future, congrats on your new rig
