Reinstalling Reese Pro Slider

So we are getting ready for our first trip of the year and I need to put the Reese Pro 16K hitch with the model 30092 Pro Slider back into the rails. The fit is very tight as expected but it seems that i recall reading somewhere that you are supposed to put either the cab side or tailgate side in the rails first. I have gone thru the manual and can't find it now ! Does anyone know which side goes in first?

I've never heard of any side having to be first. As long as it's secure and all the locking points are locked you should be good.

If it's not too heavy I used to put all 4 into the rails at once. Made it easier and no binding.

Yeah I may try it that way.....Just a little easier weight wise to put one side in first then the other!

I would put the cab side in first .... That gives you more room to swing the dead-blow hammer or 2x4 to persuade to rear into place. Hank
